PRINCIPLES
"That one indeed is a man who, today, dedicateth himself to the service of the entire human race." ~ Baha'u'llah
“The individual who boldly and courageously asserts the will to love in the midst of a world of fear and hate, will create for himself and for those who love him, a magic realm of serenity and peace.”

~ Abdu'l-Baba
PRINCIPLES OF THE BAHA'I FAITH
Oneness and unity of mankind.

The Baha’i Faith does not have clergy or priests. Baha’is believe that the time for independent investigation of religious and spiritual truths has now arrived.

Baha’is do not preach or try to convert others.

Universal education to ensure that every child is entitled to a sound, basic education is fundamental.

All religions share a common foundation.

Full equality between women and men in all departments of life and at every level of society.

Recognition of the common origin and fundamental unity of purpose of all religions.

Harmony between science and religion as two complementary systems of knowledge that must work together to advance the wellbeing and progress of humanity. Science without religion is materialism; religion without science is superstition.

Each individual is responsible for investigating truth independently.

Spiritual solutions to economic problems and the removal of economic barriers and restrictions.

The abolition of extremes of wealth and poverty.

The adoption of a world auxiliary language, a world script, a uniform and universal system of currency and of weights and measures.

The establishment of a universal peace protected by a world commonwealth of nations.

People of all races, nations, economic groups and religious backgrounds are equal in the sight of God.

"Be thou ever hopeful, for the bounties of God never cease to flow upon man. If viewed from one perspective they seem to decrease, but from another they are full and complete. Man is under all conditions immersed in a sea of God’s blessings. Therefore, be thou not hopeless under any circumstances, but rather be firm in thy hope."
