STUDY CIRCLES
"The sword of wisdom is hotter than summer heat, and sharper than blades of steel." ~ Baha'u'llah
“No man can attain his true station, except through his justice. No power can exist except through unity. No welfare and no wellbeing can be attained except through consultation.”

STUDY CIRCLES
Study groups, which are multiplying rapidly throughout the world, are gatherings of people from all walks of life who are interested in an in-depth, systematic moral, intellectual and spiritual study. It starts with the individual's recognition that there is more to life than material gain, that we are spiritual beings and that our greatest happiness truly is in helping humanity. All participants arrive at a better understanding of their purpose in life and many discover ways to improve their own lives and the lives of those around them. Such a transformational process requires skills and training. That's where the study groups come in.
Baha'is are actively engaged in developing knowledge, skills, and spiritual insights through spiritual development on various topics. They – with their neighbours from all backgrounds and of all religions or faiths – learn to act more effectively towards the betterment of humankind and serving the needs of the community and the larger society. Participants in these courses learn, for example, to start their own children's class or junior youth groups, to engage in community building initiatives, to assist and empower others to independently investigate spiritual truths, to learn how to competently express their views, and to engage in serving the broader needs of society for unity, justice, and equality.
The participants often experience a new sense of direction in life, better relationships with family and friends, and a fruitful re-evaluation of the contribution one can make to the wider community. Regardless of your ideas, views, beliefs, spirituality, religion, culture, or background everyone is welcome, as we are, after all, all members of one human family. There is no charge for attending these study groups. The frequency and duration of each study session are set by the group, and a facilitator serves to maintain the focus and pace. If you are interested to find out more about these study groups and want to meet for a coffee or tea to discuss how we can together make our community life a better place then why not contact us.

“That one indeed is a man who, today, dedicateth himself to the service of the entire human race. The Great Being saith: Blessed and happy is he that ariseth to promote the best interests of the peoples and kindreds of the earth. In another passage He hath proclaimed: It is not for him to pride himself who loveth his own country, but rather for him who loveth the whole world. The earth is but one country, and mankind its citizen.”
